H.R. 2811 aka ‘The Python Ban’ is a Bill sponsored into the US House of Representatives by Florida Congressman Kendrick Meek. As originally written it would have placed the entire genus python on the Injurious Wildlife list of the Lacy Act. That would make the import, export and interstate transport of these animals a felony.

Boa Constrictor

FALL RIVER — A Fall River landlord has a slithery uninvited tenant in his apartment building that he just can’t seem to get rid off.

A boa constrictor estimated to be five-feet long has been seen since last weekend sunning itself on the roof of Roy Oliveira’s six-unit apartment building. Efforts by local animal control officers and the Animal Rescue League to capture the snake have so far failed, because the reptile slithers into the attic when approached.

What is a Good Starter Reptile?

Good reptiles to start with are Corn Snakes, Leopard Geckos, Box Turtles, and an Argentine Horned Toad. Water Turtles, Pythons, Boas, or Iguanas are not good starter reptiles!
